Nintendo could avoid some common rationales people use for emulation (preservation/better graphic options) by releasing Metroid Dread as a paid DRM-free download on PC, it's not outside the realm of possibility


It WOULD require them to make decisions that aren't covered in the exact letter of a Business 101 textbook written in the 1980s, though, so I'd consider it unlikely for the time being
