The mentality for me to internalize (someone else said it better) is "make the lowest-effort version possible, then refine it until you're bored, then call it 'done' and upload it"

"So Long, Sophocles!" had Phen and I legitimately bracing ourselves for the sitcom moment we've all seen 1000000001 times, where the series of escalating misunderstandings that could've been avoided with a single open talk ends up crashing down on the person who Shamefully Lied By Omission; instead his friends instantly understand and forgive him when the truth finally comes out, because that's what IRL friends SHOULD do

(I spent way too much time working on this even compared to other pieces I've made, and I'm sure there are places I can improve it, but I've worked on it long enough at this point that declaring it finished and uploading it now is an act of self-care 🔸 )

I mean this in the nicest way possible: the story in this game is the closest any work of 'professional' media has come to replicating the feel of an early-'00s fantasy adventure webcomic.
