A few episodes into listening to Punch Up The Jam for the first time; I'm enjoying it a lot, but I think it might be the first podcast I've heard that makes me worry for the amount of effort that's obviously put into each episode by its hosts soundcloud.com/punchupthejam/y

I heard a conversation in a video recently about Dragon Age II -- not even necessarily a reverent one, just talking about its world and ridiculously unfair development schedule -- and it earwormed me into deciding to seriously try this series out again

More than anything, I hope it means they're desperate for business and suck at managing their finances, because it struck me as tone-deaf considering the location. Sure, I'll gather ambrosia from this Grecian palace between picking up the kids from school and getting Arby's

Once a week we pass by the classical definition of a too-fancy weed store, a local franchise (of course). Today they had a woman in a short dress sign-spinning while strutting down the sidewalk outside like she was holding a round marker at a boxing ring

Thanks for the likes, replies, and well-wishes, everyone; I find myself too frequently occupied with trivial nonsense or personal hang-ups to make art or initiate conversation most of the time, so it means a lot that people care regardless <3

And now I'm 37 years old! Feeling a little melancholy for other reasons, but I won't let that stop me from enjoying this beautiful day~

I've decided I'll buy a Series X or its successor one day, but only if I can pay for the majority of its retail cost with Oregon BottleDrop points

Related, I think I'll set this new capture device up in a way that provides easy access to the HDMI connectors for all the devices I want to stream, so I can physically switch them at a moment's notice; this should free me from the awful Steam port of Final Fantasy XIII

Some streamers are fine with running games directly from their streaming PC, but many modern games are so hungry for resources at every resolution that I don't think I'm comfortable running OBS on top of them

It turns out a selection of new capture cards process video in a way that makes them Linux-compatible out of the box. This makes using my media PC as a streaming rig a far easier proposition, which makes my much more powerful desktop PC an option as a machine to run games on

I think it might be time to retire my aging Elgato Game Capture HD; I was running it through its paces and it would A) stutter through video in the capture preview, showing a few frames from a half-second prior and B) suddenly not be recognized by Windows after a few minutes

FFXIV surprisingly works on laptop settings, but nowhere near a smooth 60FPS at any resolution; this is the one that had me dig out an HDMI cable to connect my desktop PC to my TV. Useful for if I ever decide to stream it again, though

Just took The Binding of Isaac: Repentance off my Steam wishlist; it looks fun, but I stopped playing the original after figuring out it had me dwelling in its emotional setting. I thought I could return to it with some detachment but I don't think that's actually the case

Tried out Mirror's Edge: Catalyst on this machine, and I'm surprised it runs above 30FPS on Medium settings; there was a brief bummer moment when I noticed animated billboards weren't working, but disabling the ingame GPU memory restriction fixed it completely

If anyone in chat accuses me of playing with cheats, glitches, and hacks I can just respond with "well yeah, how else would you run these games on a PC outside Windows"

I still have to test out Yakuza 0 for an hour or so and get an RCA-to-Bluetooth adapter for audio, but it's looking like when I execute my plan of streaming both Y0 and Final Fantasy XIII they'll both be through this machine running the WINE Proton fork at glorious 720p

Campaign's over; that was fantastic. This game does a far better job of justifying its own existence than I'd have expected from a sequel that attempts to replicate the structure of its predecessor

Second injection done! Feeling good, and looking forward to roughly a year of not experiencing a silent background worry every single time I cough following a visit to a public space

Watching Digimon Adventure 02 nightly, some of my favorite moments are where practical reality intersects with this goofy kids' adventure story. Tonight's episode had a few seconds of Arukenimon chaining up the tires of a Toyota to drive in the snow

Hey everyone, follow me to the site of the game's next murder case! It's a sealed chamber with a mysterious whirring sound every 30 minutes, after which the floor gently shakes. It is IMPOSSIBLE to tamper with the timer that causes this, which I mention for no reason at all
