Mild Psychonauts 2 spoiler (exterior of third brain entered)
This happened in my most recent session, also. Proudly made in Unreal Engine 4
In the middle of my Psychonauts 2 replay and I think my favorite level isn't in any brain, it's the public park/tourist trap in the hub. It's a charming, vast, and dense area to hang out, do low-priority missions, and enjoy a few good dialogue trees in
OK, if the Keihin assault I just dealt with is any indication, some bosses do in fact block this, most enemies just don't seem to think to do so
Yagami doesn't come from any dojo, he learned these moves from the streets https://twitter.com/lobst/status/1455079619657297932
Update on Judgment, I'm on chapter 7 of 10 and I've solved combat: just get the move where you jump off a wall and hit the grab button, Yagami wraps his calves around an enemy's neck, spins in a circle, and flip-throws him. It requires no heat and appears to be unblockable
Capturing some video of my playthrough of this, out of sensitivity for spoilers I'll probably stitch together a few noteworthy minute-long clips and upload them (sans commentary) as a single video
The one downside to this mod for a first playthrough, the right-holster tool (signalscope) is used frequently throughout the tutorial, the left one (translator) not at all -- so I only now rediscovered it exists after seeing dozens of patterns and wondering what they mean
No discomfort yet either (not even in 6DOF spaceflight!), though I'm going to have to play around with graphic settings just to see what my PC's capable of reliably getting away with
It's got online multiplayer too, far better quality (and cheaper) than Clubhouse Games on Switch
I've been playing Kemono Mahjong a lot as a kind of default activity, both Android and PC versions. Truly a legit rendition of the riichi game, I enjoy seeking out ideal tile patterns alongside an international group of animals with day jobs https://store.steampowered.com/app/1508430/Kemono_Mahjong/
The new card's here and my 3DMark score has doubled! I just went through another Alyx chapter; the new hardware's not a complete panacea for framedrops in VR but it's enough of an improvement to hold me for a few more years
The default WMR spaces feel weirdly hostile, also; some VRChat worlds recognize that it's comforting seeing human amenities even if you can't physically access them (like kitchens, bathrooms, and exit doors). Cliff House and Skyloft are offices with couches and little else
It also allows you to skip that area and go directly to SteamVR on headset startup, an upgrade from my current process (enter nerd house -> fire up Desktop window -> find Steam -> target/click tiny SteamVR button -> enter other nerd house where I can actually do things)
(Oh, and I've been playing through Alyx regardless of this because I've been a Half-Life fan since 1998, I knew I'd play through it more than once)
(this has kept me from seriously firing up titles like Boneworks, Elite: Dangerous, and Obduction, I figure I wouldn't get a good experience in any of them until after a hardware upgrade like this)
