I've collected the rest of the main series games alongside a spinoff or two, and they're all high on the list, -but- I'm definitely not gonna wait till I've "caught up" to play through this one

Yakuza games have incredible music. Just thinking of a song from a boss fight I saw on a stream once motivated me to buy Like A Dragon so I could experience it again through firsthand gameplay

Had to refresh to something closer to stock Ubuntu since something in my Manjaro install kept the 6600XT from performing anywhere near how well it works in Windows. The end result seems to work well, though, so now I have two OSes, one for flatscreen games and another for VR

Recovered enough to do another session today, the skills I set had me doing two sets of planks against a boss and two underlings. I had to cheap out on the second set, but at least I wasn't totally exhausted after the first one like last time

I installed the bracket and SSD last night, OS install went off without a hitch, it currently houses one entire series and a few other titles here and there. I want to pick a super-long game and plow through its entire campaign on Twitch before the end of the year

My doctor gave the very first gentle suggestion I've ever received from her to lose weight, so I fired up Ring Fit today for 12 invigorating minutes gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/2

I had a great time with the game overall, though; I figure replays (commentary mode + gnome escort) will take place in segments on the tail end of VR sessions when I'm winding down for the day

The Alyx final boss is a major pain in the ass on a two-camera headset with inside-out tracking. It requires the use of a mounted gun with two handholds, I had to hold my arms out as far in front of me as possible just to avoid losing my aim

Installation media created, I'm going with Manjaro because Lutris no longer supports Linux Mint. I'll be installing it on a new SSD that I'll be mounting on a PCI bracket, both those things should arrive Sunday

(for real, though, it took me multiple hours to work out how to get to this point in the fight)

Finished, my only regret is that the guy you confront in court before it starts raining radiates Yakuza final-boss energy just from his physical appearance and you don't get to fight him even once

What a considerate warning! Even so, I'm leaping headfirst into this as though I just jumped off a wall and there's a weak enemy in front of me

Part of my motivation was to show off how far Linux gaming through Wine has come, but I can do that with a separate partition in my desktop PC instead; it'll have better graphics than the Deck, too

I was going to wait till the Steam Deck came out to start streaming again, but the delay has me rethinking that. There are games I've been saving for this and I'm not waiting till April

The pause menu existing as an ingame smartphone Yagami looks at means when I unpause, realize I forgot something in the menu, and pause again, he puts his phone in his pocket and immediately takes it out again, and damn if that isn't a mood

Some advice from a friend enlightened me to a few valuable combat techniques! Up to chapter 12 now, to the point where advancing the story requires me to speak to a secondary character at the base of the Millennium Tower. This'll be a the first Ryu Ga Gotoku game I beat

Back home from the doctor's, flu shot and COVID booster obtained~

I've been understandably encountering a few more enemies that block my flawless technique, but I wasn't expecting a boss fight in an unlit room where Yagami refuses to run (and therefore cannot launch off walls to perform the Xenia Onatopp maneuver I've been so reliant on)

Up to chapter 10 (of actually 13) now, I agree with the story's insistence that it's important for people accused of crimes to get solid legal defense even in cases where they're actually guilty, it's depressing that it has to insist this point so patiently
